一、教學目標

1.這門課程將從數位音樂的「編曲(Arrangement by MIDI)」角度，探討資訊與數位科技在音樂--主要是當代音樂--的創作理論與方法，與其未來的發展趨勢；同時，以MIDI為核心製作環境，進行實作。

本課程將從數位音樂美學出發，分析樂曲的結構、意涵與創作元素，如曲式、和聲、節奏、配器…等，培養學生創作數位音樂的能力。在創作實務工具方面將介述MIDI的軟硬體架構，與三大軟體：樂譜軟體、錄音軟體、與混音軟體，並輸出不同應用目標的檔案。

本課程希望發展學生在這個領域的性向與潛力，創建本校教學研究的特色。

2.音樂是一種商品，也是一種藝術；是一種休閑寄託，更是一種對社會有深遠影響的文化。本課將兼及如何從歌詞、曲調、表演詮釋、藝術風格、以及社會文化５方面，分析中外歷史的音樂與當時文化互動的意義。

3.協助學生發展藝術與科技整合的知識，故本課亦將介紹如何借助知識管理系統，發展對音樂藝術的賞析與評論。

1. The focus of this course is the creation practice of music arrangement by MIDI environment and investigates new theories and methods of contemporary/future music composition that has been impacted by digital technology.

This course begins with digital music aesthetics to analyze the structures and contexts of music and demonstrates composition elements including forms, harmonies, rhythms, instruments...etc. For the practice, it introduces the MIDI H/S environment and the uses of scores, recording, mixing, and output tools.

This course expects to develop students' potentials and create a unique specification of SHU.

2. Music is a commodity and an art; a media of relax and a culture of social influences. This course also covers the interaction between music and culture changing by international/historical perspectives of verses, melodies, performances, art styles and social-cultural aspects.

3. As an interdisciplinary course, it will guide how to use Music Knowledge Management Systems to initiate/feedback scientific frameworks for music aesthetics.
